Chin Seeking Refuge - The Chin People in Mizoram, India

Designed the full visual identity and layout of a 130-page humanitarian advocacy report on the Chin refugee crisis, presented to US Senators in Washington, D.C.

Overview

Chin Seeking Refuge was a 130-page advocacy report documenting the plight of stateless Chin refugees living in Mizoram, India, presented to a bipartisan group of US Senators in Washington, D.C.With the goal of influencing policy and generating support for a vulnerable and often overlooked population, the report needed to communicate complex humanitarian issues with clarity, credibility, and emotional impact.I designed the full layout, developed the color palette and visual identity, and organized photographs taken by photojournalist Steven Rubin to ensure the imagery worked in harmony with the report written by Matthew Wilch. The result was a cohesive, professionally designed publication that gave weight and legitimacy to the advocates' message. As part of the presenting group at the US Senate, I saw firsthand how critical the visual design was in making the report not just readable, but compelling enough to move policymakers to action.

The website was designed to match the visual identity of the report, and was built at the same time as the report design. This was a rolling project where content updates had to be implemented into the report during the design process. The report had a limited print run and as distributed to advocates and gevernment representatives. As part of the team, I met a bipartisan group of senators where the report was presented alongside a photo gallery showcasing the lived experience of the Chin People in Mizoram.

Blockchain (Crypto) Industry

Since 2013, I have worked with dozens of blockchain startups and industry companies, prioritizing projects focused on education, community building, and infrastructure development. My roles spanned logo & brand identity design, video production, and visual storytelling for some of the earliest players in the space.

Overview

Since 2013, I have built a deep and diverse body of work within the blockchain and cryptocurrency industry, collaborating with some of its earliest and most influential projects.I designed the logo and brand identity for BitAngels, the first historical crypto angel investment network, helping establish a visual foundation for an organization that would go on to shape early blockchain investment culture.I also developed the full branding, logo, and advertising graphics for Piper Wallet, a hardware cryptocurrency storage solution, which required a nuanced understanding of both the technical product and the security concerns driving the crypto community at the time.I designed the logo for Mastercoin (the historical first Initial Coin Offering) which was a succesful launch and established the groundwork that led to the Ethereum network.

Alliance Taxi Cooperative

Collaborated remotely with Center City Film & Video on fast-paced video editing, motion graphics, and visual identity projects for various clients.

Overview

Alliance Taxi Co-op was a Philadelphia-based worker-owned taxi cooperative founded on the principle of improving working conditions and economic outcomes for its driver-members.Operating in an industry increasingly disrupted by ride-share platforms, the Co-op needed a brand that could stand apart visually while authentically communicating its founding values of solidarity and mutual ownership.Working directly with the Co-op's founders, I developed a comprehensive brand identity from the ground up, beginning with discovery conversations about the organization's mission and vision, then translating those values into a full logo design, brand guidelines, and vehicle paint designs that were approved for production across the entire company fleet. The resulting visual identity, built around a handshake motif symbolizing cooperation and partnership, gave the Co-op a recognizable, professional presence on Philadelphia's streets.
